Jennifer Weir

Coordinator | Global & Local Mission

Born & raised in Southern California, Jennifer went to church with her family. She loved VBS and singing in choir with her dad. She gave her life to Jesus at the age of 5, but her faith wasn’t fully challenged until her dad became terminally ill and then died when she was 16. It was then that she chose to let God fill her grief-filled heart and pursue Him through it all!

After graduating high school, Jennifer went on several short-term mission trips (Dominican Republic, Kenya, Mexico, Bhutan) as well as two separate study abroads (Spain and Costa Rica). In 2002, she graduated from Vanguard University while majoring in Spanish with an Intercultural Studies minor. At CSUCI, she obtained her multiple subject teaching credential and, in 2005, taught grades 3-5 for 5 years. Passionate about working with English learners and migrant students, she became a K-12 Coordinator in the district for 6 years. In 2016, she left to work part-time and started as Reality’s Global Ministry Coordinator in 2018!

Jennifer loves working in a position that God put on her heart 20 years ago after several short-term mission trips. She loves working alongside the sending team and enjoys planning events with global workers when they come for a home visit. She is passionate about the church body engaging with what God is doing in the nations and encourages others to Go, Give, Send or Pray!

At Reality Ventura, Jennifer coordinates the sending team and meets with them monthly. She also communicates with Reality’s global workers and organizes church-wide global events. Jennifer oversees the monthly prayer focus on the 3rd Sunday of every month through prayer for the nations.

Jennifer lives in Ventura with her husband and two sons. She enjoys coffee and beach walks with her friends, baking, traveling, snowboarding, and swing dancing!
