Chad Amico
Born and raised in California, Chad came to faith in Christ at the age of 21 at a local outreach in his hometown after seeing the Christian surf movie Son Riders.
Shortly thereafter, Chad got involved in youth ministry as a volunteer leader with his close friends while attending community college in pursuit of becoming a firefighter. After graduating, Chad served overseas with YWAM and had the privilege and joy of bringing the gospel and making disciples in places like Hong Kong, China, Russia, Romania, Hungary, Mainland Mexico, and Iraq.
His overseas missions experience and an opportunity to help relaunch a church in the South Bay as a pastoral intern led Chad to a change of direction from the pursuit of becoming a firefighter to being called into vocational ministry as a pastor. Chad is passionate about making disciples of all nations and helping equip the church in what it means to first be a disciple (a follower of Jesus) and what it means to make disciples.
At Reality, Chad serves as a Pastor/Elder and oversees community groups, playing an active role in communicating overall vision & mission, equipping, and pastoral care. Additionally, he also oversees global ministry at the church.
Chad lives in Ventura with his wife Kelly. They have five kids and four grandkids. He loves creation and getting cosmic—especially when it comes to seeing “double rainbows.”
