Ben Burgess

Born and raised in Ojai, Ben came to know the Lord through his family’s intentional dedication to teaching him and helping him grow his faith. Although he’s had a relationship with Jesus since the age of ten, it was a Reality summer camp experience in 8th grade that helped him truly decide to live for Christ.

From helping with youth sports programs and kid’s events at his local community center to training high schoolers to be lifeguards, Ben has always been drawn to leading and teaching kids. He started volunteering as a junior high leader when he was eighteen and has enjoyed taking on a larger role as the Pastoral Assistant for Junior High Ministry.

With a strong focus on discipleship, Ben oversees Reality’s midweek and Sunday morning junior high gatherings - leading kids in games, teachings, and small group discussions. He also assists in the planning and leading of various youth events and camps.

Ben lives in Oxnard with his wife, Danyel. He enjoys spending time with his family, playing board games, visiting national parks, and building or fixing things.
