Tom Cox
Tom, a native of Oregon, was not brought up in a Christian household. However, his encounter with Jesus during an 8th-grade basketball camp led him to surrender his life to Christ.
Growing up, Tom developed a keen interest in sports like basketball and football, as well as the arts. After a serious injury in his final year of high school, he redirected his passion toward music and spent five years touring the country as a musician.
Throughout the years, Tom's love for the local church deepened, spanning various church ministries from children to seniors, music to young adults, and community service to outreach events. His commitment to seeing the local church flourish in the name of Jesus continued to grow. With a Bachelor's of Science in Psychology focusing on counseling, he felt more equipped to embark on a career in full-time ministry.
At Reality, Tom holds a unique and valued position as an Interim Pastor, contributing his servant's heart to multiple areas of ministry. From leading worship in the Kids ministry to launching new initiatives and teaching on Sunday mornings, Tom is dedicated to various tasks for the kingdom.
Tom resides in east Ventura with his wonderful wife Alyssa and their five children. He cherishes date nights with his wife and daughters, indulges in third-wave coffee, relishes authentic tacos and ramen, enjoys composing music, reading, and exploring psychology. He is currently attending Western Seminary to complete a Master's of Applied Biblical Leadership.
