30 Days of Prayer for The Muslim World:
There are currently 1.8 billion Muslims who have never experienced the saving grace of God through Jesus. Of those 1.8 billion Muslims, 80% have likely never even heard the Gospel or met a Christian. This coming week, May 15 marks the beginning of Ramadan, a month that is set aside by Muslims for prayer and fasting.
During this 30 days, we have the opportunity to join with other Christians around the world in praying for God to do a mighty work among Muslim peoples. Church historians point out that more than 80% of all the Muslim movements to Christ in history have occurred in the past two to three decades, a time period that coincides with a focused prayer movement for Muslims.
To help us pray with insight, we have this 30 Days of Prayer for the Muslim World booklet . These will be available at a table in the foyer after worship today and next week. We also have some similar booklets that are geared for children; if you would like to participate as a family. Each day you will read about a different Muslim people group with some ways to pray for them.
Beginning next Sunday, May 20th and for the next 3 Sundays, we will be gathering immediately after the second set of worship to pray together for Muslims to come to faith in Christ. We invite you to join in those gatherings.
